Our purpose is best
described
in Matthew 25:35-36:
For I was hungry and you gave me something to
eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Workers
Needed for Food Ministry
|
|
|

The
number of workers needed to
sustain a large food relief
program is sometimes
overwhelming. This is an
excellent opportunity to serve
in a tangible and meaningful
way.
If
you would like to be part of the
Food Ministry Work Crew, call
Patsy or Martha. We have a lot of
fun!
"The
harvest is plentiful, but the
workers are few. Ask the Lord of
the harvest, therefore, to send
out workers into his harvest
field." Luke 10:2

we believe individual growth and
healing happen as we spend time
with people who care about us.
Empowerment - we
encourage people to develop skills
that enable them to meet their own
needs.
Servanthood - we
view serving those in need as a
normal part of Christian life.

The
Compassion Ministries operate in cooperation
with the service of the church as we feel
that to feed those in need physically
without feeding the individual spiritually
would not be in keeping with our
values. Registration
to participate in at the following times:
Sunday: 10:45 am-11:30 am
Sat. 7:30-8:45 pm (bilingual)
Our
Modest Proposal: To provide
opportunities and resources that help equip,
empower, and restore God’s wholeness in
people’s lives. To help provide emergency
assistance and long term solutions.
"Each
of you should use whatever gift they
have
received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's
various forms."
1 Peter 4:10
