"A church you'll love even if you haven't been to church in a while"

 . :  Home Groups
The example of New Testament Christians meeting in homes to pray, worship and learn God’s Word is a vital part of the church. When the apostle Peter was miraculously released from prison, the Bible says he went to the house of Mary where “many were gathered together and were praying” ( Acts 12:12 ). Other home fellowships are mentioned in Scripture such as the house of Lydia ( Acts 16:40 ), the house of Jason ( Acts 17:5-6 ), the house of Tituis Justus ( Acts 18:7 ). Scripture states that the apostle Paul taught from “house to house” ( Acts 20:20 ). These and other examples document how small home fellowships helped strengthen the body of Christ as a whole and also helped spread the borders of God’s kingdom.

Our desire is to reach the community of Borger, Texas and impact it for Jesus. We believe that of all the things that God has commanded us to do (worship, prayer, obey his teachings), the one thing that we can do better here on earth than we can in heaven is to reach those who don't know Jesus and Lord and Savior. For this reason, we use all the varying methods to impact the lost for Jesus. Some of the ways that we attempt to reach the lost are:

Servant Evangelism

Servant evangelism is a mobilization of people who go out and perform practical deeds of kindness for our community. We have handed out free cokes at stop lights, washed car windows in parking lots and many other projects. It's just a small way of saying, "God loves you" with no strings attached!

Ministry to the Poor

God's word is very clear about His heart for the poor and His mandate to His Church to minister to them. The Trinity Vineyard Church seeks to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and material assistance to the fatherless, widowed, lonely, imprisoned and disenfranchised in our own community and around the world. To this end, we have a food ministry that operates after every service.  We have given away over 500,000 lbs. of food in the last 5 years.

Friendship Evangelism

One of the most effective ways of sharing our faith with our friends and neighbors is living it out in front of them. We encourage our congregation to invite unsaved friends over to their house for Super Bowl parties, Bar-B-Q, dinner after church. During the winter months, congregation members are encouraged to shovel snow off their neighbor's walkways.  (It is difficult to reach the pre-christian if you never associate with them!)
